12 Future Scope Development of excellence in OH & S management through standardization of work procedures by continuous review Development of expertise in safety analysis and safety audit through pooling resources and conducting /arranging specialized training Internal accreditation procedures for the operating plants Conclusion IS 18001:2000 provides guidance to bring the uniformity in respect of OH&S Management in all industrial establishments. Safety requires a structured approach to recognition, evaluation, prevention and control of hazards and development of safety culture at all levels. The contents of IS 18001 are comparable with the existing OH&S management system and is being practised at BARC
