2. ABOUT CETP
Need of an hour was a Common Effluent Treatment Plant for Treating of Effluent generated by Industrial Units in Butibori MIDC. Industrial Area was conceived as a joint efforts between MIDC, Butibori Manufactures Association and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.
Association decided to call for a bid from relevant technical expert parties for designing, erection, commissioning and operation of CETP.
SMS Limited was selected for implementation of this project on BOO basis. As per the agreement an Special Purpose Vehicle in the name of M/s. SMS Butibori CETP Pvt. Ltd. was formed.
The project is running successfully since its commencement through active co-operation from the industrial association and officials of MIDC and MPCB.

8. INITIATIVES & INNOVATIONS
1. Cost optimization through Chemical Consumption.
We have reduced chemical consumption in Primary Treatment by doing jar test . Samples for different chemicals from vendors are analysed and quality and cost analysis is done. On the basis of this study treatment chemicals  are finalized.

9. 2. We have replaced all conventional lighting arrangements by LED lights to reduce Electricity Consumption & Green House Emission.
3. We design special trolleys to collect and transport hazardous waste sludge to CHWTSDF site which has omitted the requirement of packaging material for sludge transportation.

10. 4. An agreement with all member industries has been prepared that they have to pay the charges on the basis of their water input consumption by which they are Liable to sent their effluent to CETP as payment is mandatory by which they are not disposing effluent anywhere else & by this initiative we are saving Environmental Pollution.

1.Regularly organizing Training by Experts on Waste Water and Visits of Outlanders for maintaining an Eco-friendly Environment and Work- culture.

13. Approach Towards Environment
1. We ensure that maximum tree plantation happens in the surrounding and take care for their Healthy Survival. 2. Under our CSR movement SAVE WE (Save Water & Energy) organized “PAT: Plant A Tree” program on 5th June (World Environment Day) every year to create environment awareness among the masses.
