Programme - Power Supply System Upgrades Aims of programme: adapt railway lines for use by high speed trains (160÷220 km/h), increase railway line throughput, introduce higher power locomotives into service, reduce the failure frequency and increasing the quality of electric power. The programme has involved constructing or upgrading over 100 power facilities, including: construction of 25 new 110 kV traction substations, construction of around 120 km of 110 kV power lines (cable and overhead), acquisition of the right to dispose of land for construction purposes for 5,500 plots, 260 administrative decisions obtained. Programme implementation period: 2013 – 2016 Scope of programme: Value of programme: over 1bn PLN QUALITY, SAFETY, ENGAGEMENT, EFFICIENCY

Częstochowa – Construction of Cokeworks transformer/switching station Preparing comprehensive design, construction and working documentation: cokeworks transformer/switching station, 110kV Aniołów-Guardian line along with the Optical Protection Ground Wire (OPGW) route and all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) fibre optic connection. Construction of Cokeworks transformer/switching station: all general construction work, delivery and installation of primary 110 kV apparatus in the H5 system, delivery and installation of secondary circuits, Measuring, testing and commissioning of devices and the station. Reconstruction of 110 kV line with OPGW fibre optic route and ADSS fibre optic connection between neighbouring stations. connecting the new transformer units at SE Żukowice with the primary and secondary circuits, transferring the existing Automatic Voltage Control System to the new technological process building along with its fittings, constructing the station measuring systems in such a way as to ensure maximum use of the existing facilities, installing new safety measures for the 220 kV switchgear bays (for lines, transformers, bus connectors) and the 110 kV AT1 and AT2 switchgear bays for station systems (incl. Reserve Central Signalling System, synchronisation of 220 kV switching station, remote service links, automatic transfer switch), use of the Control and Surveillance System while ensuring maximum use of the existing appliances (incl. bay and central controls), Upgrade and construction of internal roads, construction of new fencing, creation of new water and sanitary pipe systems on the premises of the station, extension of the rain drainage system, construction of the Technical Protection System for the station (intrusion detection system (IDS), CCTV, Access Control) and lighting for the 220 kV switching station. Żukowice – Modernisation of Żukowice 220/110 kV station – work in progress The order includes all legal and formal requirements, design and executive matters connected with upgrade of the Żukowice SE 220/110 kV station. Scope of work: replacement of the foundations and supporting constructions of the 220 kV switching station (including the crossbeams of the autotransformer gates, replacement of worn out 220 kV switchgear apparatus (disconnectors, current transformers) replacement of supporting constructions for 220 kV switchgear apparatus (disconnectors, current transformers, voltage transformers, surge arresters) replacement of foundations of supporting constructions for 220 kV switchgear apparatus (on/off switches, disconnectors, current transformers, voltage transformers, surge arresters) construction of a technological process building, pumping station building with fire prevention water tanks, and power aggregate container, construction of auxiliary AC and DC located in the new technological process building, dismantling of the existing 220/110 kV autotransformers, construction of new 220/110 kV autotransformer stations adapted to house 275 MVA transformer units, Scope of work: Żukowice Total value of contract: 24.58m PLN QUALITY, SAFETY, ENGAGEMENT, EFFICIENCY

Task 2 - Construction of a capacitive reactive power compensation system for the Kleszczów 110kV grid: 1. Kleszczów transformer/switching station building development of a regular reactance shunt reactor at the Kleszczów transformer/switching station 110/15kV electric power plant, reconstruction and modernisation of fencing at Kleszczów transformer/switching station premises, upgrade of the telemechanics system of the local grid. 2. Bogumiłów transformer/switching station building development of a regular reactance shunt reactor at the Bogumiłów transformer/switching station 110/30kV electric power plant, installation of air conditioning in the station. Task 3 – Construction of a disconnector on the 110kV line in Piaski: erection of a 110 kV disconnector on the existing overhead cable pylon no. 1 in Piaski, creating a fibre optic connection in the existing primary piping between the 110kV EBE switchgear and the pylon station Piaski.
