Grid – Grid is a technical word used for interconnection of power received from more than one place.
Sub station - Substation take the electricity from power plants and from the transmission lines and transform it from higher to lower voltage .

Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and interrupt current flow.

17. Wave Trap :- Wave trap is also called line trap.
Wave trap work at higher frequencies.
A wave trap is used for communication purpose(traps the noise or unnecessary signal) in the substations.

Isolator is a mechanical switch which isolates a part of circuit from system from rest for safe maintenance works.
