Trip on Lake Garda Tuesday 7 th June After the Italian lesson and lunch we will have a trip on the lake. Students will have the opportunity to visit Garda and then go to Sirmione on the lake and taste the best ice- cream in Italy!

Day in Venice Wednesday 8 th June After the Italian lesson and lunch we will travel to Venice by coach and boat. There will be a tour of the centre of Venice accompanied by the group leaders. We will also have pizza in a pizzeria and have the opportunity to see Venice at night.

Thursday 9 th June After the Italian lesson, we will spend the rest of the day at Gardaland. Students will be provided with a map and must stay at least in groups of four. There will be a pre- arranged meeting area with a teacher on duty at all times.

Morning in Verona Friday 10 th June On our last day, we will travel to Verona where will we will have the opportunity to visit the Romeo & Juliet house, the famous Arena and time permitting, do some shopping. We will then travel back to Venice airport for departure.

The Journey o If you bring any entertainment for the journey or a mobile phone, it will be at your own risk. o The flight is only a couple of hours. You can bring something to eat but bring only one small drink for your journey to the airport as you will not be able to take liquids through security. o 20kg luggage allowance per student and one piece of small hand luggage. Any excess luggage will have to be paid for by the student so please weigh your suitcase! NO LIQUIDS AT ALL IN HAND LUGGAGE PLEASE.

What to pack….. o The weather should be good! o Bring light clothing (shorts!), a hat and sun lotion (packed in suitcase!) o A light rain jacket just in case. o Towels are provided but you might want to bring your own.

What to pack….. o Sensible, comfortable clothing. o Don’t bring your best clothes in case they get damaged. o Sensible walking shoes (trainers and flip-flops!) flip-flops!)

Clothes o Shorts o T-shirts o Hoodie o Trainers o Flip-flops o Underwear o Socks o Toiletries o One towel for swimming (time permitting) o One hand luggage (NO LIQUIDS AT ALL!)

Essentials o Sunglasses o Hat o Sun cream o Rain jacket o Watch o Swimming shorts o Swimming towel o Electrical adaptors o For the lessons: complete pencil case, dictionary, pad, clipboard (to be packed in the main suitcase)

Money o Small amount of pounds for Gatwick airport. o Sufficient euros for the duration of the week for drinks, snacks and souvenirs only (15€-20€ a day should be sufficient). o One big envelope with 5 smaller ones inside for each day including Monday. Each small envelope must have the day, amount and pupil’s name. o A 10€ damage deposit will be collected from each student on the coach. It will be refunded on the last day of our trip if no damage occurs in their room or in the hotel!

Mobile Phones o You may bring a mobile phone with you. o Remember that whilst abroad you will pay for both incoming and outgoing calls and texts and they cost a lot more than normal charges. The same goes for internet usage. o We cannot be responsible for your phone. If you lose it, nothing can be done!

Behaviour / Health and Safety o No-one is allowed to wander off alone or leave other students on their own. o Instructions must be listened to carefully. o Group leaders must be met at the correct time and place or there will be cosequences. o Bedrooms must be locked every time the room is left unattended.

Behaviour / Health and Safety o Be polite and sensible. Remember that we are visitors in another country and we are representing the school. o There will be consequences for anyone who misbehaves. i.e. contact parents/ lose free time/spend all day with EON at Gardaland. o Look after belongings. Teachers will not be responsible if you lose money, personal property or mobile phones etc.
