Lunch will not be provided – but there is free time in town for students to buy some lunch prior to travelling to the Chateau Please ensure any travel sickness medication has bee taken prior to departure and that Mr Foxall is informed.

Accommodatio n The Chateau d’Ebblinghem is owned and operated by NST, National Schools Travel. All adults on site are DBS-approved. School groups are lodged in separate buildings, so there is no need to interact with the other groups on-site. There is no wi-fi at the chateau. There are drinks machines and a games room which students may wish to use; both of these require payment.

What to pack Sensible clothes – if they wouldn’t be appropriate for a non-uniform day at school, don’t wear them on the trip – No football shirts Toiletries – deodorant, shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush. A towel – towels are not provided. A drink for the coach – no fizzy/energy drinks. Food for the coach. Money, in both pounds and euros – you will need a few pounds in case you want to buy anything at service station stops, and we recommend around 100 Euros to cover souvenirs, shopping at Boulogne market (lunch is not provided on the Saturday, so make sure you have money to buy it), and use of the drinks machines or games room at the Chateau. You may also wish to bring a ‘bum bag’ or similar safe means of carrying your money around Disneyland. You do not need to bring a phone – there is no wi-fi at the Chateau, and texts/calls will be very expensive. If you do bring a phone, it is your responsibility to look after it especially in public areas where it could make you a target for pickpockets, especially if they can tell you’re not local. If you do bring a phone, make sure you bring a charger and a EU plug adaptor. Please do not bring straighteners or curling irons due to the risk of injury.

Rules and Expectations Students must not purchase, request or consume any cigarettes, drugs, or alcohol on the trip. Students found to have any of these in their possession will face sanctions both on the trip and on return. Parents will also be contacted. There will be a set time by which students need to be in their bedrooms. This must be kept to. Students must only go in own rooms and not into anyone else’s with from our part or another school. Students must not buy and bring back any items which are prohibited in the UK, such as flick knives or laser pens. Any time when students have ‘free time’, such as in Boulogne and at Disneyland, they will be expected to travel in groups of 3, minimum. Staff will set up meet-up points where students can check in with them or find them if they need any help. All students will need a watch to meet up at specific times during the journey and on excursions. Students to respect these times as will have implications for onward journeys and other activities.

Keeping in contact We will take all medical and contact forms – please ensure the details are correct for the weekend of 11 th -14 th March 2016 We will remain in contact with the school, and should there be any emergency situation, Mrs Manson and Mrs Bull are emergency contacts throughout the trip who will communicate with you if they need to.
