(Like you did for your ‘Face’ projects..) 1 piece could be a collage of your photographs like you did as a starting point for your last final piece, including lots of notes to explain ideas/ materials/ techniques. The other 2 should be full A4 page sketches of compositions that you could use for final pieces. WEEK BEGINNING 25 TH APRIL 2016 GCSE EXAM 2016 Final Piece PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

The exam structure: The exam will take place during the week beginning 25 th April You will complete the work to create your planned final piece during this time in a total of 10 hours. This will take place in your normal art room under strict exam conditions i.e.: no talking, MP3/mobile phones ILDs, toilet breaks etc. You will be removed by welfare managers if required. You will get normal break and lunchtimes. You will get NO help from your teacher during the exam time. GCSE EXAM 2016 Final Piece PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE How to have a successful exam: Don’t be late! Plan and prepare well: bring what you need, arrive on time and set up Have a clear idea what you want to achieve each lesson Make sure resources needed are available – photos. Use every moment: don’t watch paint dry! If you complete the piece early check back over the project and complete/upgrade anything you can- a mark can change a grade! Help and support: Use every moment available and get extra marks by coming to after school sessions to work on your portfolio. Remember that this Exam counts for 40% of your total mark!!!!! Get every last mark you can from every objective.
