* Marsha’s standard office hours for February & March will be: * Tuesdays from 9 to 3 * Fridays from 9 to 4:30 * Sandy’s standard office hours for February & March will be: * Fridays from 10 to 4:45 * Accounts Hours: office hours for February & March will be : * Fridays from 11:30-3:30

* Deadline for you to bring in your first semester work in courses for which you are receiving graduation credit is upon us. Even if you have not finished a first semester’s worth in a subject or subjects, you do bring it all to the appointment. See handout on shelf in front of the receptionist desk for info on what to bring. * If you do not call this week to schedule an appointment, we will begin assigning appointments, so call and get your choice of times. * All appointments will be with Mrs. Hancock on Fridays. * Find several dates and suggest them when you contact us.

* Grade 12: You are required to take the SAT or ACT this school year, unless you were given an exemption by Mrs. Hancock. * Grades 3-11: We still have people who have not signed up for their testing time in April. There are 2 parts to the testing. Part A must be done by Grade Level classes. Part B can be scheduled from the dates listed in the . * Grades K-2: We still have people who have not signed up for their individual testing in May. There are only a few dates left, so contact the school office to see what is still available.

*`*`  Tuesday, February 16  We must be at the theatre no later than 9:30. Please plan in such a way that you do not arrive late. They won’t let us in until our entire group is present.  An has been sent with directions, contact info for my cell, dress, etc.  Two tickets still available. Contact Sandy before midnight tonight.

* February 23 is your 3rd mandatory attendance event of the 4 scheduled each year. * Time for the event is 6:30 pm to 9 pm. * Details will be announced this Friday via Facebook and .

* The Spring play practices for Looking Glass Land (Alice in Wonderland II) resume this Thursday at the times on the schedule. * Tech students should always be there at least 30 minutes before practice and expect to stay for minutes after practice ends. * Remember the Theatre Rule: Being early is being on time; being on time is being late; being late is an emergency only. * We need more adults and older students involved in tech areas in order for the play to be a great success. Please, please contact the office if you can help with makeup, costumes, prop making, lights, or sound. You don’t need to attend all rehearsals unless you want to do so.

* Tickets for the Spring Play, Looking Glass Land, will be available in the school office by Thursday. * All tickets are $10 each, regardless of age. * We encourage children under Kindergarten not to attend. The students in the play have practiced many hours and the movement and sound distractions of small children are not fair to the performers. Find a sitter and have an evening out. * Thursday, March 3 and Friday, March 4 are the performances.

* Dates: * Monday, March 14 Tuesday, March 15 Friday, March 18 * Time: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. * Written contests are academic contests in written form. * These are optional contests. * You may do as many of those contests as are available for your student’s grade. * Will be held in the school office. * Results will be announced in May at the Awards Night. * These are hard. Do not expect your student to know more than even 40%-50% of the questions.

* Tuesday, March 15 * Must be at the Shakespeare Theatre in Orlando by 9:30 a.m. * Expect to arrive home between 3 & 4 pm. * Still several tickets available. See Sandy when she is at the office.

* Reminder: Those with tickets to see the Peking Acrobats which will be at the King Center on March 16 should remember to use those tickets. * Start time is 10:30. We recommend you arrive by 10:00 at the latest in order to have time for restroom break, find seats, etc. * You do not meet as a group outside. Just go inside, find your seat, and you will see that the rest of the NCS students who are attending are seated next/near you. * You should have already picked up your tickets from us.

* Friday, March 18, 6 pm – 8 pm in the school office. * Must sign up! See Mrs. Howse at rehearsal. * Parents can attend with their students who were in the play. * Cost is $5 per person. * Food provided. * Bring your own beverage.
