Prof. Dr. Dominique Jacomet Graduated from Sciences-Po in Paris, he holds a PHD with Honour in Business Economics from the University of Paris He served in the fashion industry in various executive positions. In 1998, he became Executive Director for Lacoste Apparel and was appointed as Board Member of numerous subsidiaries (USA, China…) and the parent company Lacoste SA From 1994 up to 1998, he was the Chairman of the European Textile and Clothing Association in Brussels (Euratex) In 2007, he joined IFM as Director General. He teaches at IFM and Sciences-Po. He is a Professor at ESCP Europe, a leading French business school. He wrote several papers on the textiles/fashion industry and published a book on «Textiles, Fashion and Globalization »(Economica) Euro-Mediterranean Conference Florence, Italy, March 2014

A 2-year pilot project to prepare the launching of COSME in 2016 Help European SMEs integrate up to date design competences to enhance their product offering & competitiveness Provide experience  best practices Provide visibility & benchmark  encourage other SMEs to do the same WORTH Pilot Project Aims

WORTH Project will initiate 30 partnerships between DESIGNERS and SMEs : manufacturers, retailers, craftsmen, technology companies in fashion, textiles, jewellery, footwear, eyewear, furniture, leather industries from different EU member states to create innovative new products under the guidance of a professional Steering Board WORTH Pilot Project How it works?

3 : Eligible project A => designer-based : designers or retailers looking for creative opportunities to raise value added and/or explore different products through different materials, finishes and manufacturing processes that are new to the company (examples : a footwear designer brand seeking to develop and launch a new line with wooden soles; a concept fashion retailer willing to launch a bed linen collection ) 7 WORTH Pilot Project How it works?

Eligible project B => market-oriented : manufacturers seeking the integration of design capability to expand existing or create new customer base by improving design quality, adding value to products or through innovative new products (examples : a traditional seat maker trying to upgrade and update the products’ styling; a raincoat manufacturer willing to launch and market a waterproof handbag) 8 WORTH Pilot Project How it works?

Eligible project C => design technology-oriented: manufacturers seeking to master modern developing or prototyping techniques to improve flexibility, reactivity and production management by integrating updated design technology (examples: a textile manufacturer willing to integrate low-cost printing techniques in design collection-making; a button manufacturer willing to integrate 3D-printer prototyping techniques) 9 WORTH Pilot Project How it works?

SMEs have no or no significant experience in design develop a project proposal with strategic vision and drive involve in the Project a minimum team comprising at least the top manager and one dedicated senior staff positive cashflows WORTH Pilot Project How it works? Designers a strong creative identity, talent and belief in their ideas success in developing and selling their collections for at least 2 years a prior successful experience in working with manufacturers Eligible partners
