6 What is a High Potential Start-up? The company must be : Recently established – Less than 5 years old Innovative (operating in a growth sector). Capable of generating at least : 10 full time jobs (in Ireland) - by end of Yr3 Annual revenues of €1.3M - by end of Yr3 International sales focus Headquartered & controlled in Ireland Also Strong Management Team

7 EI Funding for Start-Ups Early Stage: Innovation Vouchers Accelerator Supports: New Frontiers (Phase 2 €15K stipend) Competitive Feasibility Grant (€15k - max 50%) – Calls by Region, Sector Market Validation/Prototype Development: Competitive Start Fund - Call Dates on EI website €50k Starter - Promoters €5k Equity 10% Ordinary Shares First Round / Investor Ready: iHPSU Equity Investment ~ €100k - €350k (average €250k), CCRPs, generally fully matched – EI max. 50% of funding required.

8 Aims to Build Links between Knowledge Providers and Small Businesses (must be Limited Company). Voucher (€5,000) can be exchanged for Advice and Expertise from Ireland’s public Knowledge Providers Projects: Require Innovative Solution Provide Additional Value for the Business Have On-going Benefits Innovation Vouchers
