Answer… (a) Communicating with another candidate during the exam. (b) Copying another candidate’s work. (c) Impersonating another candidate. (d) Bringing unauthorized material into the examination room. See Rules 13, 14, 15 & 16

Pre-printed materials… Cover sheets and multiple choice answer sheets have… Your name Candidate session number and school code Subject, level and which paper (exam) YOU have to add… Which question(s) you answered How many sheets of paper you have attached

Generic Cover Sheet…

The Cover Sheet… Who is responsible for making sure the cover sheet is filled out correctly? (a) Your mother. (b) The IB Coordinator/Invigilator. (c) IB Organization. (d) YOU, the Candidate.

Answer… (d) YOU, the Candidate. Rule 19: “It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the front page of their coversheet is correctly completed prior to departure from the examination room.”

Using the answer booklet… Where answer boxes are provided on the examination paper, candidates must write their answers in the boxes. If candidates are unable to complete their answer in the box given, they should continue their answer on supplementary answer booklets and indicate that they have done this within the box. For exams without a subject answer booklet, all draft work is done in the answer booklet. If a candidate does not want this draft work to be marked, a line must be drawn through that work.

Using the answer booklet… Many of the exams are now sent to a scanning center then electronically sent to the examiners. It is very important that your answers are within the box drawn on the paper or in the answer booklets so that your entire answer is scanned and graded. Only ONE line of writing on each line in the booklet.

Using the answer booklet… When you start a new question or essay, skip a minimum of one line and go to the next line that has the two boxes for writing the question number. Start the new question or essay on that line.

Explain the following instruction… You are advised to show all working, where possible. Where an answer is wrong, some marks may be given for correct method, provided this is shown by written working.

Answer… Even if your answer is wrong, if you show your work/method, you may still get some points.
