2019 Exam Season What to expect, rules and regulations

2 You are expected to arrive 15 Minutes before the start of your exam.
ARRIVAL Times You are expected to arrive 15 Minutes before the start of your exam. Exam Start Times: Morning exams: 08:45AM Afternoon exams: 13:15PM

5 Equipment: Black pens (at least 2) HB pencils (at least 2) Protractor Compass Rubber Ruler Calculator (no lid) If using a pencil case it must be a clear one. Please don’t bring maths tins – put what you need in your clear pencil case Water bottle (clear no labels)

6 Exam room: You are to be silent from the moment you walk into your exam room. You will not be allowed to leave until all exam materials have been collected and you must leave in silence. Please respect your fellow students who may still be working.

7 Banned equipment: EXAM BOARDS TALK!
No mobile phones, iWatches, iPods, MP3/4 or any electronic item that has digital storage. IF YOU ARE FOUND IN POSSESSION OF ANY BANNED ITEM, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THE EXAM WITH THE POSSIBILTY OF BEING DISQUALIFIED FROM OTHER SUBJECTS. EXAM BOARDS TALK!

8 DURING THE EXAM: If you need anything you should put your hand up and wait for an invigilator No talking or communicating in any way.

9 DO NOT ASK IF YOU CAN LEAVE
Do not doodle on your scripts, you may lose marks. Do not tap on the table, click pens or anything that could put others off. You are not the only one in the room - be considerate to others! When you have finished your exam paper, thoroughly check it and check it again. You remain silent. DO NOT ASK IF YOU CAN LEAVE

10 Due to length of your exams, you shouldn’t need to have toilet breaks.
No toilet breaks are allowed in the first 30 minutes or last 15 minutes of an exam. If you desperately need to go, put your hand up and the invigilator will come to you and then arrange for an accompanied toilet break (no extra time will be allowed) If it is noticed that a you ask to go in every exam, invigilators will note this down and it may be investigated. GO BEFORE YOUR EXAM!

11 END OF THE EXAM: NO WARNINGS OR REMINDERS WILL BE GIVEN THAT THE EXAM IS ABOUT TO FINISH You must stop writing when asked, even if you are part way through something. YOU MUST REMAIN SEATED until you are given permission to leave. You must remain silent, as there maybe more than one exam going on that has a later finish time.

12 CLASH STUDENTS: You remain seated until you are advised otherwise, as you have to remain under supervision until the start of your next exam.

13 Results GCSE Results will be available for collection between 10.00am and 12.30pm on Thursday August 22nd 2019. If you wish any other person (including family members) to collect your results on your behalf, or wish for us to post them, you must give your written authorisation to Mrs Barratt before results day.
