A Little About Mrs. Blackburn This is my 20 th year teaching. I have two boys, two labs, and a husband. I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and Naples. I received my degree in elementary education from USF.

Homework: Reading - spelling, grammar, workbook pages, AR All homework is on the board for students to copy into their planners. Homework is a participation grade.

Reading Grades: Weekly Assessments / Projects 55% Quizzes (spelling/grammar/vocabulary) 25% Classwork/Homework 20% Homework and Workshop are participation grades. Extra Credit is not available. (school-wide policy)

Accelerated Reader: STAR Reading – Assessment that gives AR level Students read books on their level and take AR tests to earn points Read every night even if your child met their goal. Each student must meet a point goal and have an average of 85% to participate in AR party. School-Wide Program
