4 Student Planners/Homework
Students record all homework and important dates/reminders in their planner Homework is an extension of the learning experiences children have during the instructional day Daily HW in Language Arts will be a participation grade Daily HW in Math will be a participation grade Science/Social Studies homework is graded on occasion Please sign planners nightly Please DO NOT sign a blank planner Problems with Behavior and/or Work/Study may be written in planner or chart

6 Behavior/Work Study Skills
Fourth Grade teachers have very high expectations for behavior Daily Behavior/Work Study habits contribute to weekly/term grades Students receive reminders; if problems continue, their charts will be marked Performance Codes E= Very consistent demonstration S= Consistent demonstration N= Inconsistent demonstration BEHAVIOR WORK/STUDY SKILLS 1. Follows Rules 5. Works cooperatively 2. Demonstrates self-control 6. Works independently 3. Respects adults and peers 7. Exhibits on-task behavior 4. Handles conflicts and problems appropriately 8. Completes assignments 9. Follows directions

7 BEHAVIOR/ASSIGNMENT CHART
Students will receive a weekly chart to keep track behavior and work/study skills. The behavior chart is used to facilitate our reward system. Students can earn lunch in the classroom and coupons for various activities. Each student receives a new chart every Friday. The charts are sent home in the Friday folders. Behavior and Work/Study grades are marked on the Weekly Performance chart inside the Friday folder.

9 Friday folder Go home each Friday with graded/important papers, reminders, Behavior Chart Sign the weekly performance chart and keep the small white behavior chart at home.

THERE WILL BE NO EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE IN ANY SUBJECT PER OUR ADMINISTRATION.

Check grades each week You can even set up reminders on Gradebook to notify of changes in your child’s grades. Students will be required to log-in to check grades and progress.

18 Ready Math More in depth instruction
6 Units – Average of 1 lesson per week Every lesson has a quiz Each unit has an assessment

19 Multiplication it is imperative that your child knows their multiplication facts fluently. Please practice with your students. Starting September 8th, students will receive a weekly quiz grade on their timed multiplication quizzes. Starting Thursday, students will be required to complete all 100 problems on the Time and sign homework.
