18 I thought the Hospital experience was exceptional. It was moving and educational. Some of the best interpretation techniques I've ever encountered. Didn't want to leave. It is the first time we have seen this type of thing in the National Trust and would welcome the opportunity to do this more. I found it really emotional and filled up. I thought it was just me, but talking to other people they had the same response… Really I loved every minute of it. We were there for 6 hours and wanted to stay longer but had to get back. This was my third visit to the military hospital - I wanted to bring my husband before the exhibit finishes. It is wonderful and I hope you will do more … It was also the third time my children have been and they were mesmerised on every visit. I found the War-Time theme exceptionally moving. The thought that had been given to converting the house to War-Time, the research and preparation throughout the house was exceptional. The recreation of the experience of war time bank workers was fantastic, … the more informal set up where you touch things meant the experience was more memorable than other NT properties we've visited. The real life stories of the workers were fascinating and moving. The 1940s exhibition was absolutely superb. This made the visit stand out from the standard NT house where they can all merge into one The visit to the re-roofing project was fascinating and motivated me to join the National Trust. The start of the tour was very well done and had a very big impact on me The whole place was fascinating and well thought out. The dining room experience sent a shiver down my spine. Thank you for bringing alive this crucial era in our history, and the social response to the vulnerable. The children really enjoy listening to and they can't wait to get back home to tell their friends about what they learnt. Memories that will stay with them a lifetime thank you NT Left a huge impression and brought the facts of the time to life. Very moving, so much so, my eyes were left watering! Well done everyone involved. I found the recreated hospital very moving, it exceeded my expectations, it was so well done. It's a shame that it will be closing soon, I've recommended it to many people We all thought the military hospital was fantastic, extremely emotional… My son learnt a lot and has talked about it passionately since. It far exceeded our expectations. We found it so interesting and very moving… we both think that of the N.T. sites we have visited this is our favourite at the moment Visit was much more than we expected, it was an eye opener The roof exhibition was amazing! We came specifically for this and it far exceeded expectations! Roof experience was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Very well organised. It's nice to get the public involved in such an important restoration project On the day of our visit my family had arranged for us to all sign a slate to be put on the replacement roof. It was a great experience deciding what to put, but this was given to me as an early 70th Birthday present. It was thrilling to think I have left something so important. It was a complete surprise and quite an emotional feeling Love the roof project and we are keeping a photo record of changes each time we return The icing on to cake for all of us was the roof top experience - a once in a lifetime opportunity. We purchased a slate to add our names to the bit of history. The opportunity to go up to see the roof renovation work was greatly appreciated and was a thrilling experience. Whoever decided to offer this was inspired I really loved the way in which the new philosophy of the Trust, to REALLY value people as much as place, was beautifully realised on this visit. It made my husband and myself feel we should be doing more to get involved with the National Trust in the future. We haven't made good use of our membership lately but we have resolved to make more visits from now on This was a first for me to see how the trust spends the money I pay. I would recommend this experience to everyone. The roof project is brilliant and will enhance our future visits to this local site because we will have a different perspective on the House. Conservation in action at Dyrham Park. Only @nationaltrust would dream of making history this awesome! Extraordinary conservation work - everyone should see this! Did not expect this yesterday at Dyrham Park but this years must see Absolutely amazing visit to @NTDyrhamPark. Roof project is a brilliant attraction.
