Student Expectations Behavior - I emphasize the seriousness of education, respectfulness of the classroom environment, and the importance of students taking responsibility for their own behavior. Homework – Your child will be assigned homework Monday-Thursday. Homework is expected to be turned in each morning. Class work – All class work is expected to be turned on time.

Parent Expectations What I ask of you is to please encourage your child, praise their accomplishments, read to them daily, listen to them on a daily basis, assist them with homework, and communicate with the teacher if there is a question or concern.

Teacher Expectations My goal is to provide a quality education to each student in a safe and supportive environment. Students will be taught using the Georgia Performance Standards. Students individual strengths and weakness’ will be identified using standards based assessments. Individualized instruction will be used during guided reading and guided math centers.

Conference Requirements Two conference days a year are scheduled. We will be contacting you to set up a time to review your child’s progress and goals for the year. We will be unable to have a conference unless it is scheduled. Our instructional day begins at 8:00 and we often have meetings during our planning. If you are unable to attend a scheduled conference, please call (770) 651-4800 and leave a message.

Attendance Instruction will begin at 7:45 AM. Our lessons will continue until 2:30 PM. Our goal is to have 100% attendance everyday so that your child receives the best education possible! When your child is absent, please remember you must send in a note!
