4 Present perfect tense  We use the present perfect tense to talk about completed actions. e.g. (a) Charlie is eating the sandwich. (b) Charlie has eaten the sandwich.

5 Present perfect tense 
 We use the present perfect tense when we do not know the time of action.  We do not usually use these phrases with present perfect tense (e.g. yesterday, last week, in 1999, on Monday). I have washed the dishes yesterday. OR  I washed the dishes yesterday.

13 ‘Yet’ goes at the END of a sentence.
Already, yet  In the present perfect tense, we use already with positive (yes) sentences and yet with questions or negative (no) sentences.  Have you eaten the apples yet? (question) ‘Yet’ goes at the END of a sentence.  No, I haven’t eaten the apples yet. (negative)  Yes, I’ve already eaten the apples. (positive) ‘Already’ goes in the MIDDLE or at the END of a sentence. or Yes, I’ve eaten the apples already. (positive)

15 haven’t / have not given
______ they _______ the present to their mother _______? No, they ____________________ the present to their mother _______. Have given yet haven’t / have not given yet 3 (cook) _____ Mother _______ the dinner ______? Yes, she _________ the dinner ______. Has cooked yet already has cooked

16 Ever  Ever means at any time. We use it to ask people whether they have done something before. e.g. Have you ever worn a costume? = Have you worn a costume at any time in the past? Yes, I’ve worn a costume. (positive) No, I’ve never worn a costume. (negative)

17 Ever  You can answer with these words: Adverbs 1 once 2 twice 3
No. of times Adverbs 1 once 2 twice 3 three times 4 four times e.g. Yes, I’ve worn a costume once. She has been to China three times.

18 Has Lizzie ever ridden a horse Yes, she has ridden a horse once
