9 ALIEN AND SEDITION ACTS – ( Federalists)  Made it harder to become a citizen  Resident 14 years (up from 5 years )  (Alien) - immigrants - could imprison aliens on suspicion  (Sedition) made it illegal to speak, or write things against the gov’t NATURALIZATION ACTALIEN AND SEDITION ACTS
