4 You, Me, and Math makes 3! Give 100% effort everyday in this class by following directions, taking notes, participating in class, asking questions, and completing all assignments. WE ARE NOT IN THIS 50/50! WE ARE IN THIS 100/100! Synergy is the Key!

7 Think Win-Win I am successful on a test. I understand a concept that I was having trouble with. I ask questions in class when I don’t understand. I graduated from high school & college. Mr. Kelly looks like an awesome teacher. Think Win-Win When you look good, we look good! You represent your family, school, and teachers remember that!

8 I will be prepared and prepare daily lessons for you to help you build a good foundation. I will assign work to you that will allow you to practice the important concepts in the class, not busy work. I will be available to you for extra help when you need it. 9 THE BLUEPRINT: How do we do it? 1 st Have patience with yourself, with your classmates, and with Mr. Kelly. We are all God's children and have different gifts and through God's grace we have the opportunity to increase those gifts together. Sometimes you may get it immediately. Sometimes you may feel you will never get it but know that at all times WE will work together to support and respect each other.

12 Classroom Rules We agree that we will be respectful of all people and things in this classroom. (Not writing on desks, bullying, etc.) We agree to conduct ourselves in a manner that is becoming of young man or woman. (No horseplay, running, using lab equipment for incorrect purposes, etc.) We agree that to be able to work together and be successful this year we will use language that is appropriate and values all persons in the year. (Calling someone stupid or putting someone down, using profanity, saying “that’s so gay” or using the N-word, etc.)

13 If you meet these very high expectations: Academic success Recognition in class Positive calls home –Mr. Kelly has to work on continually do this all year, because he sometimes gets busy.

14 And if you don’t… 15 min Detention with Mr. Kelly (Minor infraction Yellow Card) 30 min Detention with Mr. Kelly +Parent is contacted about the incident(s) (2 Yellow Cards in a week or Red Card for a Major infraction) Sent to Dean’s Office + Parent contacted about the incident(s) (Gross Disrespect, Insubordination or 2 Red Cards in a week)

15 Homework Policy Full credit (100%) when homework is present on time. Partial credit is earned (50%) when homework is turned in the day after it is due. If it is not turned in the 1st day, you will attend mandatory Homework Duty the next day to complete the assignment for a possible 50% percent until the assignment is finished. If homework is partially finished, partial points will be awarded.

16 Failure is not an option. That doesn’t mean you will not fail. If you don’t master the content of the course and complete all assignments, you will fail.
