4 Conferences We are available to meet with you by appointment from 10:05-10:40 a.m. Scheduled district parent-teachers conferences are Oct. 29 th and 30 th for the fall, spring conference to be determined. We will dismiss at 12:00pm on these days.

5 Progress Reports & Report Cards Progress reports will go home every 4 ½ weeks. Report cards will go home every 9 weeks.

6 EARLY RELEASE Please schedule medical/dental appointments for your child on these afternoons. Our first half day will be this Friday, August 29 th. Dismissal will be at 12pm. Early release dates will be in the Bulldog Bulletin.

7 Snacks Needs to be easily eaten ONLY healthy snacks will be allowed. Please bring a water bottle with water only!

8 Lunch Money You may prepay online by credit card or send cash or check You can add money to their account today! A la carte items – must request limit Ice cream can be purchased daily

9 Medications All medications should be brought to the clinic in their original containers by the parent. Any further information please consult the handbook or Mrs. Kowalis, our school nurse.

10 Important Information PLEASE BE AT SCHOOL AT 7:50 A.M. We start our instruction at 8:05. Students arriving after 8:05 are marked tardy! Champions: a new morning childcare program available for $35 a week 6:15-7:30 If your child eats breakfast at school, please have them here as early as possible. Please schedule appointments after school. We will be working right up to 3:15.

11 Absences Students not in attendance at 10:00 will be marked absent for the day. Please send an excuse with your child within 48 hrs. upon their return. If you know your child is going to be absent, please send a note in advance or call the front office.

12 Birthdays Invitations are NOT allowed to be handed out at school. Please see the student directory for information Birthday treats Parents may bring treats for the class to be eaten during lunch time only. Ice cream is 50¢ when pre-purchased. 75¢ the day of.

13 Dress Code Students should be dressed and groomed in a manner that is clean, neat and not a health hazard to themselves or others. No Flip flops, spaghetti straps, short shorts or tank tops/muscle shirts. See more specific guidelines in the handbook.

14 4th Grade Discipline Policy Students are expected to follow school- wide PBIS program. Show Respect for self, property and others. We expect all students to REACH for the stars, everyday in every way. We use a ticket system.

15 Bullying Humble ISD has a policy set in place to identify bullying. Stop the interaction Name the behavior to the student Remind the student of taught expectations Refer to student handbook

16 Change of Transportation Teachers are to be notified by a written note or phone call to the office if transportation changes.

17 DISMISSAL FOR CAR RIDERS The pick up lane is two lanes. Please look to teachers guiding traffic for instructions. Safety is our number one concern, please don’t use your cell phone in the car rider line! It is against the law.

18 WALKERS AND BIKE RIDERS Your child needs to know what is expected during rainy day dismissal. Fourth graders are allowed to walk home without a parent. Students will NOT be released to walk to a parked car, parents MUST meet them under the pavilion.

19 Bus Riders Please make sure your student knows their route number.

20 Homework for 4 th grade EVERY Monday-Thursday unless otherwise noted! Reading: 30 minutes of reading Math: 20-30 minutes of review Please practice multiplication facts!

22 Enrollment Forms Enrollment forms need to be signed and dated If your packet isn’t complete this evening, please return all paperwork before Friday, August 29 th to your child’s teacher

23 We are going to have so much fun this year!! Please remember to sign up to be a volunteer. There are many opportunities to be involved in your child’s education!! We appreciate all you do for us!
