2 Mrs. Bosso Graduated from Bloomsburg University with a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. Grew up in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Had several long term substitute positions in 1 st and 2 nd grade. Taught 1 st Grade in the Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia 2012-2013 school year. 3 rd year teaching 1 st grade at Summitview Elementary. Hobbies: lacrosse, baking, skiing, reading, etc. My husband and I just bought our first house this past summer !

9 Classroom Management We use a “clip” system in our classroom. Students start with their clip on the green everyday. If a student makes a bad choice or breaks one of our class rules consequences are as follows: Yellow- Warning Orange- 5 minutes of recess Red- 10 minutes of recess *A monthly behavior calendar will be kept in your child’s take home folder. *Students have the opportunity to go beyond green. *If the students reach pink, they will get to punch their behavior card. *If students “clip” above green, they can still move back down. If the students “clip” below green, the students stay there until the next day.

10 Take Home Folders Please send in your child’s Take Home folder to school everyday. I will use this folder to send home papers and notes from me. It is very important that you check your child’s folder everyday! Please remove all papers that are on the Leave at Home Side. Please send back all completed homework and any completed forms/notes that went home. Your child’s behavior calendar will be in this folder.

11 Special Activities Renfrew Holiday Parties Maryland Theater Birthdays: A treat can be shared with the class. Please be aware of allergies. Invitations can only be sent out if the whole class is invited.

12 Housekeeping Lunch Money: Please send in a sealed envelope with your child’s name on it. Please practice your child’s number at home. Star of the Week Scholastic Book Orders Sent home monthly Every book you buy gets us free books for our classroom library !

13 Before you leave… Please complete the to do list located on your desk. Please take home envelope and return the pages indicated on the first day of school. Please check your child’s bus number and times of pickup and drop off.
