Proteins Nutrients that are needed for the growth & repair of body cells Proteins make up your muscles, skin, nails, & hair

CARBOHYDRATES Nutrients that are the main source of Energy. Sugars, starches and Fiber are Carbohydrates. Fiber is a part of grain & plants that cannot be digested

MINERALS Potassium – Fluid balance within cells Found in – Fruit Milk, meat, cereals Iodine - Function of thyroid gland Found in – Iodized salt, clams, lobsters

WATER Water makes up blood, helps digest food, helps with waste removal, keeps body temperature healthful, cushions the spinal cord and joints.
