17 Course Description Example COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING & ENGINEERING 2 OPEN TO: 11-12 1 semester PREREQUISITE: CAD/Engineering 1 or Teacher signature required CREDIT:.5 Art, Career and Technical Education, Technology *Dual Credit Course CONTENT: This course teaches skills in sketching, hand drafting, and computer aided design (CAD) as utilized in the fields of architecture and engineering. The student learns graphic communication skills to convey technical ideas with clarity and precision. The course will develop a core of AutoCAD drawing skills focused primarily on crating two-dimensional images on a variety of media for a technical audience. Students will also create three dimensional models, renderings and walk-throughs. Students will produce professional work in a lab environment working with current technology.
