A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math we are learning strategies to add double digit numbers. They are learning how to count on by tens, draw tens and ones, break up digits the ten way.
-During writing time this week we will learn about Opinion Writing. The students will have the opportunity to write about their favorite foods and their least favorite foods. They will learn to give reasons to support their opinion as well as ending with a closing sentence.
-Our Core Knowledge time will continue with Science and the Earth. This week we will focus a bit more on fossils and the three types of rocks.
Homework Ideas
-Please take time to read with your child every night for minutes.
-Reading homework should be coming home daily!
