A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math we are continuing with place value. Students will begin solving word problems by using a tape diagram. Students will Read, Draw, and Write to solve the word problems.
-Writing time this week will be creating a class book. We will read If You Give a Moose a Muffin, If You Give a Pig a Pancake, and If You Give a Dog a Donut. Then kiddos will create their own If You Give a….. Story.
-Our Core Knowledge time will switch back to Science and begin studying the Solar System. This week we will focus on the Sun, Stars, and Earth.
Homework Ideas
-Please take time to read with your child every night for minutes.
-Reading homework should be coming home daily!
Looking Ahead
-March 3rd: Movie Night in the gym (5:30-8:00)
-March 3rd is the end of the 3rd quarter
-March 8th report cards will be sent home
-March 10th PBIS assembly for 3rd quarter
-March 15th Spring pictures
-March NO SCHOOL/Spring Break

-Tomorrow wraps up February and Please fill out the calendar and return to school.
-Tomorrow we will have our Pizza Party for filling up our classroom bucket! 
