A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to switch to our leveled reading groups. Students should be bringing home daily reading homework.
-During math we will be continuing to make a group of 10 when adding two digits together. Students will work on making a 10 with the numbers 9, 8, and 7 by breaking apart the other digit. Students will continue their work on addition and subtraction during center time.
-This week during writing time we will be writing on a school wide writing prompt. Every grade will be writing on “What does Respect mean to you?” We will go through a simple writing process of beginning with a topic sentence, adding 3 details, and a concluding sentence.
-Our Core Knowledge time will continue with our unit on the human body. This week we will focus on the circulatory system and nervous system.
Homework Ideas
-Please take time to read with your child every night for minutes.

-November 15th is the next MSA meeting.
-November 16th are picture retakes.
-November 22 is PJ day and Monfort Feast
-November NO SCHOOL for Thanksgiving break.

Extra News
-We are going to be doing a special activity for Thanksgiving next week. Each child needs to bring in a plain pillowcase. It doesn’t matter what color it is, just no designs. We will be decorating and cutting them, so please make sure you are okay with that when thinking about which one to send in We would appreciate them being here by Thursday!
