A Peek At The Week
-In reading we are continuing to direct instruction at students’ reading levels.
-In Math we are continuing our unit on shapes. This week students will explore time. What is the shape of a clock? How many equal parts are there? And how to tell time to the nearest hour and half hour.
-Writing time this week will continue with Poetry. We will focus on comparing objects and using metaphors and similes to compare.
-Our Core Knowledge time will be spent on Social Studies this week. We are continuing our unit on the American Revolution. This week we will learn about the 13 Colonies becoming an independent nation and the symbols of our nation.
Homework Ideas
-Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays - reading homework
-Tuesdays and Thursdays - math homework
Looking Ahead
-April 2nd: Fit-n-fun in the gym (3:10-3:45)
-April 2nd Pasta for Pennies fundraiser officially begins
