Microsoft Word When writing the written tasks I decided to use Microsoft Word because it is a very simple and an easy software to use. Microsoft Word creates a documents in a professional style which offers a high quality spell checking system. Along with checking spelling it also offers suggestions for poor grammar. Microsoft Word also has many other features, such as; being able to create tables, changing the orientation of the layout from portrait to landscape, adding watermarks, boarders and adding columns to create a newspaper like format.

Microsoft PowerPoint When creating my presentation on ‘Barriers to communication’ I decided to use Microsoft PowerPoint. The reason I chose this software is because it offers many different templates that I can work from and you can add animations to keep an audience interested when presenting the presentation. Also using Microsoft PowerPoint can create a high standard and professional looking presentation.

Microsoft Publisher When I came down to creating my leaflet and glossary I decided to use Microsoft Publisher. The reason for this was because it offered me a wide selection of templates making it easier to create a professional looking leaflet and glossary. I used a ready made template and then added text, images and a background. Publisher is a very easier software to use and gives a professional finish.

Microsoft Excel In order to aid communication between me and my teacher, my teacher used Microsoft Excel to create a mark book for the class that we all had access to. This was so we could see our progress and also find out if we could improve on anything. If there was anything to improve on if would be flagged up with a ‘! 5’ where as if it was signed off and complete it will see ‘10’

Adobe Photoshop I used Adobe Photoshop to edit images to make they were suitable to use in my leaflet and glossary. I did this by removing the background so they could easily been placed and look professional on a coloured background. To remove the background I used the ‘snipping tool’ in Photoshop.

Weebly – ePortfolio I’m a using and creating an ePortfolio to display all my work. To create this ePortfolio I am using a website called Weebly. Weebly allows me to use there templates to create my ePortfolio. This means it’s a very straight forward process and gives a professional looking finish.

One Drive Using One Drive was a very useful tool as it allowed me to save work I had started at college and be able to carry on with the work at home from my laptop. One Drive is a very easy and useful tool to use and all you need is an ‘Outlook’ account.
