2. 1.1Why did you use a computer? What other systems / resources could you have used? I use the computer to create a presentation about the school. I could have used Publisher to create a poster / leaflet. I could have also used the Word processor to create information sheet. The reason why I did not use other programs or paper is because I would not have been able to add video, sound or animation. I used the PowerPoint to make it more interesting for my audiences by using animation and other tools like the hyperlink buttons to link each slide and added video and sound to make it more eye catching and fun for my audiences to view the information.

3. 1.2What skills did you need to learn in order to use PowerPoint? This skills I needed to learn were the different tools in the PowerPoint software. I needed to learn how to setup a template by using master slide. I also needed to learn how to add hyperlinks to link all slides to make it easy to see each slide. I also needed to learn was to add animation and animated gif files on my presentation to make it more fun for the young children. I also had to learn how to add video and sound on my presentation ton make it more fun all the audiences. To make it more eye catching I had to look for a better font style and size so that people are able to read the information form my slides.

4. 1.2What resources did you need to make the presentation successful? I needed the PowerPoint software to be able to create a presentation. Things to include in my presentation I needed a video, sound and animated images. For some images were a little hard as I needed a camera, then ask teachers and other students permission before I could take a picture and use this on my slides. I also needed access to internet to the college website to get accurate information about different subjects.

5. 1.4What factors might have affected how well you completed the presentation? (e.g. time / attendance / knowledge of software) I needed time to learn and practice the PowerPoint software. I missed some lessons when Miss was showing us how to do hyperlinks. I found it hard to link my slides. I then had to stay at lunch time for her to show me the skill of hyperlinking within slide master. I needed to plan my time to make sure all my work is completed to a pass grade. As I miss some lessons to make up for the lost time I had to attend after school session to complete my project.

6. 1.6Why did you use PowerPoint to make your presentation? What other software was available? Why did you choose not to use them? I used PowerPoint for my presentation because it is more entertaining, by adding animations and video made it eye catching compared to other software's. Other software's that I could have used were Desktop Publisher to create a poster. I did not use publisher because it did not suit my needs. I also could have used word but that is not interesting so the audience would not have been engaged.

7. 2.2Which tools within PowerPoint made it appropriate for your presentation? In my power point I used things like slide master, transitions and animations. This was all used to make the presentation interactive and keep the audience interested. This also helps make the presentation look attractive and engages all audiences.

8. 1.7Were there any legal constraints or local constraints that changed the way you created your presentation? (e.g. copyright, file sizes) There was a video file I had used that was too big and, therefore would not allow me to upload it onto the ingot website so I had to choose a smaller sized video with the teachers permission. I had to make sure all the photos I used were in the shared area so I did not use copyrighted photos off the internet.

9. 2.4What improvements do you think you could do to your presentation? I could have added more information on the heads of houses and the uniforms. I think it is important to add this information because it is helpful to let people know who you go to if you have any problems. I also think it is important to let people know the full correct uniform because that is what you have to wear.

10. 3.2What improvements do you think you could have done to improve your work rate? Improvements I could have made to improve my work rate would have been to work faster during class, not sitting next to my friends to avoid distractions. I also could have done it at home, this means that I could get all of the work done in time. Using master slide improved my work rate because it meant I could have all of the slides identical in theme and colour.
