2 What is a Logo? A name, symbol, or trademark designed to easily recognize. Can be words (text) only, or a combination of words (text) or pictures (graphics). Goal is to project the company’s image. Logos are used on the following business documents: Business Cards Letterhead Advertisements and Flyers Brochures Signs and Posters

4 Logo Design Guidelines Should project your company’s image. Should be simple. Not too many graphics or pictures. Should be unique, easily recognizable, and different from your competitors. Keep the number of colors to a minimum. The colors you choose will be your signature colors.

5 What is a Tagline? A tagline is a repeated phrase or selection of words associated with a specific individual, organization or product. Also called a “SLOGAN.” Tagline is the first step to branding your business. When working well together, your name, logo, and tagline become your best form of advertisement. Your tagline creates a first impression for your company.

6 Successful Taglines should: Be short and to the point. Consist of no more than 4-6 words. Convey a message of what your business provides. Be consistent with your logo design. Be easy to remember from potential customers.
