Mary Ward  Born Jan 23 rd, 1585 to a catholic home in North Yorkshire, England  Formed a religious community at the age of 24  She was imprisoned by the English government and the inquisition in Rome  Her congregation was ended in 1630  She returned to England in 1642, and passed away in 1645  She helped set up schools for girls

Angela Merici  Was born march 21 st, 1474 in Desanzano del Garda, Italy  Began the company of Saint Ursla in 1535  The Company of Ursla was an order of women that helped teach girls.  It was a group of virgins with a centralized government

Jane of Chantel & Francis of Sales  Jane was born Jan 23 rd, 1572 in Dijon, France  Francis was born August 21 st, 1567 in Thorens-Glières, France  Francis and Jane worked together to create the visitation of Mary  Visitation of Mary trained women to become teachers
