2 Francis of sales Francis de sales was born in 1567 in France
His father wanted him to become a solider He was Bishop of Geneva, then honored as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. He became noted for his deep faith and his gentle approach to the religious divisions in his land resulting from the Protestant Reformation.

3 Teresa de Avila Born in Spain in 1515 Became a nun at the age of 20
She ran away to a convent in 1536 Teresa de Avila was a Spanish Carmelite nun Her fervor for the catholic church provided inspiration for many people during the renaissance period.

4 Charles Borromeo Charles was born in 1560 and died in 1584.
He was the archbishop of Milan; he took steps from the council of Trent to implement the reforms. He was a catholic reformer along with Francis de sales. He was a cardinal.

5 What Happened? The 14th, 15th and 16th centuries Europe saw a spiritual revival in Europe the thought of salvation became central This became known as the Catholic Reformation Their debates spread across all of Europe.

7 How does this show religious disunity in Europe?
Francis of sales tried to convert the district of savoy and had successfully done so. He came from Calvinism and made religious works for women.
