Scheduling Information/Worksheet for Seniors This is a worksheet for you to use to ensure you are signing up for the classes you need during your senior year. Please submit this along with your scheduling materials. Mrs. Rion will give you a copy for your records when you meet to review graduation requirements for your senior year. Most students have completed all graduation requirements with the exception of one English class and one math class. Your English teacher will pass these forms along with your transcript out to you. *I am currently processing all transcripts and going through what is needed for graduation for each 11 th grader.* *Must be turned in to your English teacher on February 17 th along with your scheduling packets!

College Composition I/II Adheres to College Credit Plus (CCP) rules. Taught by Dr. Beery through Stark State Curriculum. Refer to application procedures attached to scheduling worksheet (last sheet).  Include your CVCC course as part of your requests during online scheduling if you are taking the second year of a program.  List 3 alternate elective choices in the event you are closed out of your first choices. Use the spaces in the bottom box to ensure you have requested enough courses. Remember to pair semester courses on the same line. You will use this portion of the form during online scheduling so be sure to copy course numbers carefully. Use your Program Booklet to research class information. You and your parent must sign the bottom. It will be returned to you if you do not have both signatures. Recommendation Waiver Form  Must complete and submit with Scheduling Worksheet if taking a course you were not recommended for.  Students will not be scheduled for the course unless the Rec. Waiver Form is submitted.

Schedule Changes/Dropping Classes  Once schedule requests have been submitted, students and parents may elect to change a student’s schedule for the next school year only before the first day of school.  After the start of the school year, changes will only be made if: 1. There is a scheduling conflict that cannot be resolved. 2. Changes necessitated by failures. 3. Satisfactory completion of a course in summer school. 4. A technical error was made in the process of scheduling the student’s requests. SCHEDULE CHANGES AFTER THE SCHOOL YEAR HAS BEGUN ARE NOT PERMITTED.

All students enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) courses are required to take the national exams given at Nordonia High School in May. College credit may be granted upon successful completion of these exams. The college which the student attends awards credit. Check with your individual college on its credit granting policies. Costs for each test given are approximately $90 per test. Exam fees will be added to your fee account upon enrollment in the A.P. class. Advanced Placement(AP)Testing

College Credit Plus/AP/Dual Enroll  The College Credit Plus program permits college- ready students, grades 7-12, who qualify for college admission and receive state funding to participate.  The bill establishes guidelines and procedures for enrolling 7-12 grade students in College Credit Plus programs. The postsecondary institutions to which this optional program applies are state-assisted colleges or universities. The legislation requires school districts to inform students and their parents of this program on an annual basis.  If you plan to participate in the College Credit Plus program for the school year, parents and students MUST attend this mandatory meeting outlining the requirements for participation.  Detailed information is available in the Guidance Office. Summer School  There are many options with regard to summer school. See your counselor for more information if you fail a course this year.  Do not push a failed course to your senior year!  If you have not passed all sections of the OGT, you should explore options for taking the test in summer school.
