WHO WE ARE PUPC is an all volunteer group led by parents. PUPC educates parents on state and local issues facing PUSD. PUPC is a 501(C)3 non-profit with a small annual membership fee per school site to cover basic operational expenses. PUPC collaborates with and supports local parent based groups like PTA/PTO organizations and booster clubs.

OUR PURPOSE To engage the influential voices of PUSD’s parents To help inform parents on educational issues To bring together parents, parent groups, district administrators, and community leaders

RESOURCES PUPC PROVIDES Programs every other month featuring community and district leaders Q&A sessions with district administrators Networking with other parents and parent organizations in PUSD Website and newsletter with legislative updates and community links

PUPC SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP $100 initial membership fee per school for first year Only $60 for each consecutive membership year after Sponsored by PTO or parent group Includes two representatives from each school Helps fund initial costs: – Tax ID number – Corporation Commission filing – 501(c)(3) filing – Informational event hosting – Website and PO Box

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT Over 37,000 kids have parents who are invested in quality education in our District. Decisions made at District and State levels have a profound impact on what happens in the classroom. Quality schools impact property values, safety in neighborhoods and the ability to bring new businesses to our community. We need informed parents!!
