4 Primary Objectives To act as a Forum to enable local sports councils and associate organisations to meet and discuss matters of a common interest in seeking to promote interest and participation in sport and physical recreation in Scotland. 7 Areas of Work Local Local Over the last 30 years SALSC has worked closely with its members and partners to promote sport at local level through the establishment of and the development of our local sports councils. 9 Areas of Work National National SALSC and its membership participate in the promotion and development of a wide range of activities and strategies developed and promoted by our various partner agencies both on their own initiative and in co-operation with our partner agencies.
