Presentation transcript:

 Earth’s climate is changing because people all over the world are producing more CO 2 which is being released into the air. Things like cars, airplanes, power plants and more are letting too much CO 2 into the air. The gasses are flowing into the air warming up the environment therefore warming up the climate.

 Ice all over the earth is melting because of this warm climate and when the ice melts lots of things can happen to the economy.  All of the extra water from the melting ice will go into lakes and oceans. The more extra water there is the more the water rises therefore flooding cities and towns near coasts.

 Humans can respond to the climate change by not letting too much CO 2 into the air. Personally they can do things like use electric powered cars and eco-friendly materials like florescent light bulbs. Businesses can also use earth- friendly materials to power their facilities like using solar panels and wind turbines, etc. Politicians can make laws on how much energy from fossil fuels can be produced and used.

 Pro’s: pro’s are good. Con’s: con’s are bad. Some con’s are the expense. Some of the choices are very expensive such as solar panels and wind turbines 

 NEED TO ANSWER: “How will these choices affect the economy, public policy, our lifestyles, and the kinds of technologies used?”
