EDUCATION In 1887 Anne Sullivan went to the Keller’s home and helped Helen learn words by spelling them into her hand. In 1890 began speech classes at Horace Mann school for the Deaf 1894 to 1896, she attended the Wright- Humason School for the Deaf in 1896 at Cambridge school for young ladies. AMAZING WORKS With the help of Sullivan and John Macy, Helen wrote her first book, The Story of My Life. In 1946, Keller was appointed counselor of international relations for the American Foundation of Overseas Blind.
