What Can Google Do For You? Sharing

Using Google In The Classroom! Some ideas on how to use Google in the classroom…? Use Spreadsheets for collaboration. Consider using a Table when you are working in large numbers in a Google Document. Use for collaborative homework. Have several students work on a presentation to be delivered during the hand-in lesson. Publish a presentation for protected sharing. Using Google Forms, survey your students in order to get information to drive instruction. Use Google Docs for Reading Responses because there can be an ongoing conversation, aided by the extra motivation of working online. Use Google Docs for students to buddy edit information or reports (or other type of writing). Students share their document with their writing buddies. The teacher can be a collaborator and they can assist in the process as well, long before the product is finished. Use a single shared spreadsheet for the whole class. Add the children's names in the first few columns. Add data information along the column headings. Pooled data could then be analyzed, averaged, charted and explored.

Know your limits when using Google Documents There are; however, limits on the number of collaborators that can work simultaneously in a document for each type of Google Document.  10 people can edit a Presentation at the same time.  50 people can edit a Spreadsheet simultaneously.  50 people can edit a Document at the same time. There is a limit of 200 combined viewers/ collaborators for all of the different types of Google Docs.
