Contemporary Issues/ Media Literacy: Your Generation Advertising Journalism Honors Language and Composition

What is Media Literacy?  According to the Center for Media Literacy it is,  the ability to access, analyze, evaluate and create media in a variety of forms.

Media Literacy Promotes:  THINKING!

Why do we care?  It directly affects you every day of your life  It promotes better citizenry  It helps you develop critical thinking skills that translate to your reading and writing

Areas we will cover:  The generation gap  Awareness of our world as:  Consumers and  Citizens  Advertising  Journalism
