SC-NCSC Assessment System Opens February 8 DTCs-Alt will log in to system by using the information they received in the welcome . DTCs-Alt will be able to upload users (TAs) into the system and view student rosters. DTCs-Alt will be able to link users to students. DTCs-Alt will be able to view TC training modules. TAs will be able to view TA training modules.

Accessing the SC-NCSC System

Welcome DTCs-Alt and TCs will receive a welcome from prior to Feb 8 The welcome will contain: Temporary Link User Name Temporary Password How to log into system

Logging In to the SC-NCSC Assessment System 1. Log into the SC-NCSC System with your temporary password. 2. Change your password.

SC-NCSC System Processes Once you log into the system you can: Manage organizations, users, students; Upload users (TAs and TCs) and create classrooms; Add new students; Access training modules; and Monitor TA training status. Refer to the SC-NCSC Assessment System User Guide for Test Coordinators for detailed instructions on accessing the system.

Student Rosters Student information is uploaded by the SCDE from the precode information in PowerSchool. The online system will be open for DTCs-Alt and TCs to view student rosters on February 8 th. DTCs-Alt and TCs should review all information for accuracy. Contact the SCDE if any changes need to be made to the student demographic information DTCs-Alt will upload users into system and link users to their students. (SC-NCSC Assessment System Guide for Test Coordinators, page 19).

Test Coordinator Training Complete all modules within the “SC-NCSC Online Test Administration Training for Test Coordinators” Module 1. Responsibilities of Test Coordinators Module 2. Overview SC NCSC-AA- AAS (Test) and Test Integrity Module 3. Navigate the SC-NCSC Assessment System Module 4. Create Users and Organizations

Test Administrators TAs must be trained to administer the SC-NCSC Alternate Assessment. TAs must meet the specific requirements outlined in the TAM on page 15. Monitors are required and must be trained. Specific requirements are outlined in the TAM on page 15.

Test Administrator Training Complete all modules within the “SC-NCSC Online Test Administration Training for Test Administrators.” 11 training modules Complete the Final Quiz with 80% accuracy. Read the TAM and SC-NCSC Assessment System User Guide for Test Administrators

Monitoring TA Training Status

District Box SC-NCSC Procedures for DTCs-Alt (1 per box) TAM (1 per TC) Assessment System User Guide for Test Coordinators (1 per TC) Return service labels (1 per box) Test Administrator Security Affidavits (overage) Material Summary which includes MP Code for Paper and Special Material Ordering (1 per box) Box of materials for each school

School Boxes Each box will have the following materials to be distributed to each school: TAM (1 per TA) Assessment System User Guide for Test Administrators (1 per TA) SC-NCSC Procedures for TAs (1 per school) Test Administrator Security Affidavit with student label affixed (1 per student) Envelope for return of Test Administrator Security Affidavits (Green Label) (1 per school)

Test Administrator Security Affidavit Review Test Administrator Security Affidavit with a student label affixed and verify the information is correct. If a student does not have a Test Administrator Security Affidavit, TA can request from DTC-Alt. If student does not have a Test Administrator Security Affidavit, student may not be in system. TA should contact DTC-Alt who is able to add a new student into system. NOTE: Absence of the completed Test Administrator Security Affidavit for a student will result in a “Not Tested” status for a student.

Ordering Paper and Special Materials

Paper and Special Materials Ordering Window February Materials available for ordering: Paper Materials Copies of Test Booklets Directions for Test Administration (DTAs) Special Order Materials Braille- grades 3 and 4 only Procedures for Assessing Students Who Are Blind, Deaf, or Deaf-Blind Large Print Test Booklets

Paper and Special Materials Ordering Procedures TAs will send material requests to the DTCs-Alt. DTCs-Alt will place orders through the MP iServices portal. Go to Select South Carolina from drop-down menu Choose Order Additional Materials from the menu options on the left Choose your District from the drop-down menu Enter your MP Ship Code (found on your materials summary)

TA Responsibilities Prior to Administration Review student rosters beginning February 22. Verify all students they are expecting are in the system. Corrections or changes should be reported to the DTC-Alt. TAs may not make any changes to the student demographic information. DTCs-Alt can add new students. DTCs-Alt will contact the state to make any demographic changes.

Administration Window

DTCs-Alt Responsibilities During Administration Monitor TAs progress weekly. Add new students into system as needed. Provide Test Administrator Security Affidavit to TAs when student ID is incorrect on label or new student is added. Order paper and special materials upon request.

Return of Testing Materials to Measured Progress Once each school has returned testing materials to the district, DTCs-Alt will: 1. Locate Test Administrator Security Affidavit Envelope (Green Label) with completed Test Administrator Security Affidavits for each student. 2. Check the Test Administrator Security Affidavits for the following: Match student label information with the written information on the Test Administrator Security Affidavit. If there is no student label, ensure Student Name, DOB, Student ID, Grade, School and District is present at top of form. Ensure the form has all signatures: TA, Assessment Monitor, and Principal

Return of Testing Materials to Measured Progress (cont’d.) 3. Return all the Test Administrator Security Affidavits to the school’s Test Administrator Security Affidavit Envelope (Green Label). 4. Place Test Administrator Security Affidavits with Student Labels on top and Test Administrator Security Affidavits without a student label at bottom.

Return of Testing Materials to Measured Progress (cont’d.) 5. Return testing materials to Measured Progress: Pack box as specified in the SC-NCSC Procedures for DTCs-Alt 6. Seal box and adhere UPS return service label. DO NOT return any TAMs or User Guides to Measured Progress.
