Web Designer Nick Fain 5/8/14 1 st Hour Career Tech

What is a Web Designer ?  Web Design is designing with in the web with code and script.  Try to imagine the internet without any design just a blank white page with words. Well web designer’s fix that problem by adding in colors and pictures to make things more visual and catch your eye.  A web designer's job is to make a web site look its greatest by adding things that people want to see and make their web site more popular.

Some of my Interest in Web Designing  I think it would be fun to work on a computer cause that’s what I like to do I love working on a computer to do like a project and something like that.  I think it would be kind of hard to learn but I like challenges so I would probably really enjoy this career.  Learning new things is always better to like I don’t know a lot about coding it would be fun to learn more about it.

Nature of Work  Mostly most of the work you do as a web designer is making web sites look amazing with code.  You are going to have some what of a experience with coding or this is going to be hard to understand.  Build websites up to become more popular and get out there more.  Learn a lot about this career by going to college and staying there for a few years till you fully understand what you are doing.  Get along with others, cause you will probably working with other people in this career.

Working Conditions  Web Design is more of a physical career cause it is very visual and you have to be able to see it to know how it is going to look.  It’s a indoor career cause its all on computer or some kind of technology equipment.  I'm pretty sure it is mostly flex hours not like a 7 hours like its you finish what you are doing then you leave.  Its mostly computers and people working on them for the day.

How Do You Get There?  You need some kind of background with it in high school, but in college you need a bachelor degree.  I'm planning on going to like Wayne state or Michigan state cause I really like both of these places.  In going to take web design next year with miss candela so I can learn a little more about coding and get into the class.

Job Outlook  The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects 20.1 percent employment growth for Web developers between 2012 and During that period, about 28,500 new jobs will need to be filled in an industry that already has roughly 141,400 positions. Information from  The employment rate is rising since 2012 to  I would like to find some job openings in Michigan so I don’t have to leave Michigan cause this is my home town.  Not really I just want to work at this job know matter what buliding.

Earnings?  My lifestyle goals are to make nice money and have a nice house and have a family.  Fifty percent of web designers make between $55,377 and $71,903 per year.  Yes, this fits my goal cause its not bad money and it will help me hold out with what I have to do.  I would probably save most of my money and not just go out and blow it. So I can buy a nice house and get a nice car.

Related Occupation  My back up career is going to be a police officer.  You are going to now how to handle problems and fight if you need to.  The working conditions would be more outside and stopping trouble from starting around the city.  It will probably take a lot of training like at least a few years.  My outlook on this job is very risky cause a lot of bad things could happen on the job.  There are different salaries for where you work and what you do.  I chose this career cause it would be a good experience and is something I would like to do.

Summary  My Feelings for being a web designer is very strong cause I really love this job. I think it would be really fun and interest me a lot. One thing I am looking forward to is being a web designer for Google or like YouTube. One thing I'm not looking forward to is sitting inside all day I feel like some days it would get really annoying. I don’t really know a lot about this job I just know that I want to try it and it would be a fun experience.
