Pronouns and the verb ser

Verbs are action words. To be To run To look To eat

Pronouns take the place of nouns. Here are some pronouns in Spanish: Yo = I (to talk about yourself) Tú = you (to talk to someone) Él/ ella = he or she (to talk about someone or something )

Combine pronouns, verbs, and adjectives to make sentences. English I am tall. You are blonde. She is nice. Spanish Yo soy alta. Tú eres rubio. Ella es simpática. Notice when the subject of the sentence changes the verb also changes.

To say something is not true, put no in front of the verb. Él no es rubio. Es moreno. Ella no es baja. Es alta. Yo no soy baja. Tú no eres feo.
