1.ABSTRACT: The main aim of this project is to play the name of the forthcoming station in busses or trains so that the passengers can get awareness of their current station and they can get down at their destination station only. In present bus systems conductor or driver has to shout about present station name and sometimes they may forget and in trains, in night times we cannot find the forthcoming station and also strangers to particular area also do not know about the stations that they are travelling. But now a days so many technologies are coming out to make our lives more comfort and more informative

2.OBJECTIVE: The main aim of this project is to reduce passengers tension in journey to unknown place and to play the name of the forthcoming station in busses or trains so that the passengers can get awareness of their current station and they can get down at their destination station only.

3.BLOCK DIAGRAM:

4.METHODOLOGY: The project consists of a RF/XBee transmitter for each of the railway stations and a receiver for each train. The RF/XBee transmitter circuit has a pre stored information about the station where it is located. When the receiver comes within the range of transmitter, then the receiver which is located in the train receives information of the station from RF/XBee Tx which is there in the station. The received signal will given to the ARM controller via interfacing stage. After receiving the ARM controller will analyses the signal and gives appropriate information about the station via voice announcement. Voice alert is an output unit in the receiver. This gives the voice alert of the station reached based on the RF transmitter signal received.

5.ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES: ADVANTAGES:  Better service to passengers  Helpful for strangers  Driver or conductor no need to shout always  Low cost and flexible in design.  This module can reduce the passengers tension in journey to unknown place  Automated system requiring less manpower.  It uses a voice chip which records and plays the desired voice.  Reusability of the recorded message.  Databases need not be maintained.  The model can also be interfaced to provide automatic opening of doors.

DISADVANTAGES:  One time investment cost  Constant human intervention.  High cost.  Installation and integration is time consuming.

6.APPLICATIONS:  The system can be used to serve other purposes like providing assistance to blind in their homes, providing security for valuable items etc with suitable modification.  This project can be implemented in Home, School, Colleges, and Companies etc… with suitable modification for their requirements.  Busses and trains  Can be used in all transportation vehicles  We can give information about coming bus in the station side also

7.CONCLUSION: The design and development of ARM based station name intimation and voice announcement have been successfully designed, fabricated and tested. With the implementation of low cost and flexibility in design, this kit can reduce passengers tension in journey to unknown place. This project demonstrates how RF signal along with embedded system can make our life simpler without causing any ill effect or affecting other devices. Its use is not limited to bus stand or railway station, with suitable modification the system can be used to serve other purposes like providing assistance to blind in their homes, providing security for valuable items etc
