Hawk The animal I researched was the hawk. Hawk are birds. They live in the woodlands of New york State.

Physical Attributes Hawks have cool features. They are brown, black and gray. Some hawks have speckled feathers. All hawks have wide wings. Most hawks are 1-3 pounds.

Habitat and Shelter One of my animals habitats in wide open spaces. Other hawks live in grasslands. Even some live in deserts! Some hawks live on tops of mountains. Hawks can also live in rainforests. Most hawks live in wetlands. A hawks shelter is in trees. They nest in high trees. They are so cool!

Diet and predator My animal eats song birds. Hawks also eat insects. They also eat frogs, mice and squirrels are what hawks eat. PREDATERS TO A HAWK ARE EAGLES IN SOM PLACES. Another predator to a hawk are big cats. One other are bigger hawks.

Interesting Facts Hawks can see mice from 300 feet away! They perch at the top of utility poles if they want to. My animal can live years. That’s a long time for animals. All hawks lay 1-8 eggs. Almost every hawk lives in high trees. What some cool facts!

Conclusion In conclusion hawks are amazing animals. Since they live in New York state, it wouldn’t be surprising if you saw one. So keep an eye out, but also keep your distances. Wild animals, like hawks, should only be looked at not touched.
