2 What does my animal look like?
Light and dark brown feathers Legs and feet are yellow Tail is red Wingspan is inches The length is inches The male is 1.5 to 2.9 pounds The female is 2 to 4.4 pounds

3 What does my animal eat? The Red-tailed Hawk is a carnivore that eats:
Mice, squirrels, chipmunks, rats, rabbits, opossums, muskrats, cats, skunks, and bats Also, it eats snakes, turtles, frogs, lizards, and other small mammals

4 Where does it live? The Red-tailed Hawk lives in fields, prairies, marshes, deserts, grassy meadows, nest close to streams. Their nest is made out of sticks and twigs. Pine needles and green plants.

5 What adaptations does it have to help it survive?
Body Structure/Adaptation How It helps the Animal Survive Eyes Excellent eyesight to hunt for food. Beak Peck at their pray to kill and to eat them Wings It helps them fly away from their predators Tail It helps them control where they are flying to
