2 The Introduction of a Red Eyed Tree Frog Did you know that this frog is as small as a tea cup? The red eyed tree frog is green on it’s head, back and legs but tan on it’s belly. They have orange feet and red eyes. Red Eyed Tree Frogs live in the tall treetops of the rainforest. The tree that they live in has to be over the water. These frogs eat bugs and insects. Crickets, moths and flies are examples of what Red Eyed Tree Frogs eat. Red Eyed Tree Frogs really are cool!

3 About the Red Eyed Tree Frog You are about to learn about the Red Eyed Tree Frog! This frog doesn’t raise it’s young. It leaves after it lays it’s eggs. They are laid on a leaf to fall into the water. Then it goes through the life cycle of a frog. This frog protects itself by living up high so predators can’t get them. It’s predators are snakes and birds. These animals both eat Red Eyed Tree Frogs. This is the life of a Red Eyed Tree Frog!

4 Adaptations of Red Eyed Tree Frogs Red Eyed Tree Frogs have sticky feet to climb plants easily They can show their red eyes so it causes predators to pause, then the frog can get away Since they are green and they live in the trees they blend in with the leaves

5 Fun Facts The Red Eyed Tree Frog can lay up to 50 eggs They are also called the Red Eyed Leaf Frog They have a life span of 5 years
