We will hear what agencies are doing with MOOCs, what challenges they have discovered in using them some solutions they have developed, and lessons learned in the process. Session Participants Allan Schweyer, President, TMGov University Allan is Chief Learner for TMLU.org, a non-profit education and research group. Allan also acts as Director of TMGovU and editor of the Journal of Human Caoital Management. Allan is the past President and Executive Director of the Human Capital Institute (HCI). He helped found HCI in 2004 as its first employee and was instrumental in growing the organization to more than 150,000 worldwide members by Mr. Schweyer has contributed to the field for more than two decades. He is the author of Talent Management Systems (Wiley & Sons, 2004) and co-author of Talent Management Technologies HCI Press 2009) and the Enterprise Engagement Textbook (2014). Allan has published hundreds of articles and white papers in dozens of popular media and industry specific publications worldwide. He has been recognized as among the “100 Most Influential People in HR and Talent Management.” Rhonda Jones, Ed.D., SPHR, IPMA-HR CP, Assistant Director, Human Capital Planning & Executive Resources, Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) Dr. Jones brings 20 years of human capital management experience to today’s presentation. Along with developing training programs, her areas of expertise include workforce and succession planning, employee engagement, rewards and recognition, career development, human capital strategic plans; SES recruitment, and performance evaluation. Prior to joining CSOSA, Dr. Jones held the position of Planning and Management Division Chief, National Institute of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, United States Department of Justice. Gregory C Galiardi, Senior Instructor, National Cryptologic School, College of Cyber (NCSC) Gregory Galiardi has over 30 years' experience working for the government in the information technology field. After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy with a BS in Computer Science he was assigned to the Pentagon and worked in the foreign technology transfer office. After leaving the Air Force he worked for NASA on the Space Station and at the Space Physics Data Facility. During that time he completed his MS in Computer Science at Johns Hopkins University. Returning to the Department of Defense he has worked in a number of technical roles from software developer to project manager to technical director where he reviewed training opportunities for technical personnel. He is currently a senior instructor at the National Cryptologic School - College of Cyber, teaching, developing new courses and advocating for new paradigms to provide education and training to the workforce. Outside of work he is an avid traveler, private pilot and skier.
