Time of Your Life Expo

Healthy and Active Ageing Population Ageing presents great opportunities to challenge our thinking about how we can best create age friendly communities. To ensure that older people are supported and their contributions are valued, it is vital that they play a role in shaping the future of their communities.

Yarra Ranges Shire The population of older people living within the Shire of Yarra Ranges will continue to grow over the coming 25 years with an increase from 27,560 of the Shire’s population (18.6%) in 2011, to 44,684 of the Shire’s population (25.8%) in 2036

The World Health Organisation (WHO) regards active ageing as a life long process shaped by several factors that, alone and acting together, favour health, participation and security in older adult life.

Time of Your Life

Time of Your Life Expo To support Yarra Ranges Council’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy and to ensure age- friendly practices and active ageing is considered in all parts of Council, the Time of Your Life Expo was established to promote the positive contributions of our ageing populations and explore the future participation opportunities.
