Fort Sumter was the first major battle of the Civil War. It took place in Charleston, South Carolina. It began on April 12,1861.The south won this battle. President Abraham Lincoln was the president of the United States Of America (USA).President Lincoln called for 75,000 soldiers to fight the rebellion. Jefferson Davis was the president of the Union (Confederate States). Fort Sumter

The Battle Of Bull Run The Battle of Bull Run took place on July 1-3, The setting was in Manassas, Virginia. Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson was in the war. The Confederate won the war.

The Battle of Gettysburg The Battle of Gettysburg took place on July 1-3, Gettysburg took place in Gettysburg, PA. The north won this battle.

It took place on April 9,1865. Grant and Lee met here for Lee to surrender. Appomattox Courthouse
