 Pay attention to your vehicle  Pay attention to other drivers  Pay attention to road conditions  Pay attention to your physical state  Pay attention to your emotional state

 No drag racing or stunts  NEVER alcohol or other drugs  No cell phone  Be a defensive driver  Driver who is aware of potential hazards and reacts to avoid them.

 Wear a helmet and other protective equip.  Ride with traffic  Watch for others  Obey the rules of the road  Use signals when turning  Proper lighting for night riding  If you begin to fall, curl up into a ball and roll

 Be aware of potential hazards  Wear proper helmet and eye protection  Be cautious in wet conditions  No extra riders unless they are protected and have a designated seat  Don’t grab onto other objects or vehicles  Never on paved roads or streets

 A bicycle helmet should be brightly colored so that motorists can see the cyclist clearly  A properly fitting helmet should cover the top of the forehead and have straps that prevent it from shifting or falling off.  A helmet should be certified by the Snell Memorial Foundation or approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)  Use the information above and reliable print and online resources to research the safest bicycle helmet on the market. Provide the name of manufacturer, model, cost, and explain why.
